Fiego A Fishermanโ€™s tale

Starting work back up again on FishHead, but as I reviewed the story and started making changes and revisions, it no longer felt like a ‘FishHead”. The main fisherman became “Fiego” and I changed it to ‘Fiego: A Fisherman’s Tale.

It’s always interesting on a film you work on for awhile, that wherever you are in life, plays into your current creative expression. My work on this film, ( Which is a take on the Grimm story ” The Fisherman and his wife”) has always served many purposes for me. It’s cathartic, because it’s a bit of a personal story, I learn more about animation and try out new moves and methods, and lose myself in the process of story, character and animation. This story and storyboard has definitely evolved over time. The animation I already completed for it, I feel needs to be scrapped. A few years ago, I had already recorded the dialog, but now I’m not sure I even want dialog. But even though I know I will eventually finish it, it’s not about the finished product for me. I’m enjoying the ride.

Development continues on a few projects, Garden Box is busy on new stuff, and JMS is also still in production on the end of the 68 episode order of Luna. Preparing for new studio space move.

It all plays out as it should. I try to stay out of the outcome.

    1. A new farmhouse that we just bought has a huge space that I am renovating for a new studio. It’s beautiful with 18th century beams. I may still maintain the studio in LA, depending on production needs.
